Monarch Switzerland
Doctoral Institute of Advanced Management Studies
At Monarch, we believe that organizations exist within society and derive their legitimacy, opportunity, and long-term success from the value they create for the societies they serve. We therefore believe that the purpose of management is the responsible stewardship of the resources, people, institutions, and relationships entrusted to professional managers.
This perspective informs every programme, every research initiative, and every educational experience across Monarch. It shapes how we educate professionals, develop researchers, and advance responsible management forming the foundation of the Monarch School of Management Thought.
If this perspective resonates with you, we invite you to join our community.
Management finds its highest purpose in the responsible stewardship of organizations entrusted with creating value for society.
The Monarch Candidate
The Monarch Candidate is someone who believes that organizations have the capacity, and the responsibility, to create lasting value for society. They recognize that management is more than the pursuit of organizational performance; it is the responsible stewardship of people, resources, institutions, and relationships entrusted to professional managers.
They are motivated not simply by personal advancement, but by the conviction that sound management can create greater opportunity, strengthen organizations, and contribute to more just, prosperous, and sustainable communities. Whether working within business, government, education, healthcare, non-profit organizations, or entrepreneurial ventures, they understand that effective management carries responsibilities that extend beyond the organization itself.
The Monarch Candidate seeks more than technical competence or leadership skills alone. They seek a deeper understanding of professional stewardship, responsible judgment, and the practical methodologies required to exercise entrusted responsibility wisely. They are intellectually curious, professionally reflective, and committed to continual growth: not merely as managers, but as stewards of the organizations and communities they serve.
If this perspective resonates with you, you may already be part of the Monarch community.
